TWO WEEKS AGO TODAY
Our 7 pound Yorkie 15 months old
took his fourth training class
We came out strapped him in his booster seat
and started to back out of the parking spot
puppy made the worse continuous crying
stopped on the spot
The straps on his seat had snapped and the seat collapsed
crushing the dog
We took him to PET ---- ER they x-rayed put him in a cast
and told us his leg is so crushed if we didn't do surgery he would loose the leg
So we took him to Gainesville to UF Small Animal Hospital
He was there a whole week
They had to rebuild his leg
Now he has 12 weeks recovery and has to stay in his pen
Not a happy camper He will be super spoiled in three months
I may be the one taking his meds
Oh, no, Lis!!!!! Poor poor baby!!! I am so sorry for the little guy. That's a horrible accident. Praying that he will heal well and without complication and that you will make it through all the treatments for him, too. It's a full-time job caring for an injured and convalescing pet. Sending hugs!

I did tell them what happene and that the straps were defective causing the bucket to bend BUT I dont intend to spend my last years with the stress of a battle over $$ The $6000.00 bill is paid told the kids it is that much less they will get
DeleteAwww, the poor thing :( I am so sorry this happened to your sweet little doggie. I hope the healing goes quickly and he's back to feeling good sooner than later. Too bad these manufacturers make such poor quality products that cause harm. Give yourself and big hug and a gentle one for the doggie. I hope you both get past this sooner than later.
ReplyDeleteHe got stitches out today some infection so more care Has to wear cone at least two more weeks and stay in pen for another 10 weeks He is not happy
DeleteThat is such a shame Lis, I feel so sorry for both you and your sweet dog. Hopefully he will fully recover and get to enjoy his life as he was meant to. He probably feels as if he's being punished by staying in his pen all the time. Sending healing prayers and hugs your way today!
