The very next day  I walked in to Hobby Lobby and there they are half price so I decide I don;t need a wreath but would like a table center for the dining room table

My Besties with Flower

MY BESTIES with FLOWER

It seems awhile since My Besties got to my work space and it feels good to have her there 

This CHALLENGE is to use flowers . Instead of attaching flowers I punched the flower lined it with print and added a threaded button

                                                  A note to self " buy yellow ribbon"
                                     I cut white ribbon and dragged it over an ink pad
                                  Now look at the ribbon I have and none of it is yellow
                                                Some look yellow here but they are taupe

On this challenge you work from a given sketch , how easy is that ?

I chose to do red and black . I used stamps from the set called Lanterns
I stamped directly on the red card stock so no coloring necessary , I then cut them out and placed them in the sketch

I decided to do a zentangle background and use a sentiment from MFP  stamp set Birdcages

SFF 245 Rainbow Colors

The challenge 245 calls for ALL the colors of the rainbow http://mfpstampshop.com
Now this stamp pad I have used for the background is called a rainbow pad .. Well the colors it has are in the rainbow but only 5 of them I know there are 7 colors in the rainbow and there is an order in which they stand and the pad is WRONG ! right? the pad is wrong  That said I used the pad for the 5 colors and with the Medallion MFP set I cut and popped  layers using the other two colors
Let me remember the rainbow goes  ROYGBIV  The ink pad has the red orange yellow green and blue so I used the violet and indigo on the flower I know because it says so on the pencils .

Friends Challenge

   

                         At a little get together a fellow stamper gave us each the silk flower
                                                       and challenged us to make a card
                        Another gave me this lovely stamp ( among other lovelies )

I used stamps from MFP Winter Chill    I stamped and cutout the figures covered it in versamark ink and sprinkled with stickum heated then sprinkled with diamond dust  It really sparkles in real life

The photos shown for this Shabby Chic challenge are of beds , beautiful over stuffed over pillowed fluffy soft beds . My idea of shabby chiic is lace and pearls and worn and faded , so I put the two together and decided to lock the bedroom  door with MFP stamps from the set "Keys" Because that is what should happen right? Every girl should have a beautiful overstuffed shabby chic bed and a key to her door

Baby Oil Technique

 The Baby Oil Technique
I did this background and fence with the technique  It is easy not very messy to do and ends up gorgeous

Things don't want to stick to the oil I find tacky glue works well tape and foam dots .not so much.....

Memento ink stamps directly on the oiled background  I didn't try other inks.

My Besties Gift box

 I started with a gift box pattern from Heartfelt TT . I cut it down from 4 inches to 3 inches
The image is My Besties Skater

 Her head band is cut out and popped separately on two layers of the full image

I used mesh behind the image and added die cut flourish

The trim on the skirt and her head band are covered with Glitter Liner
