This month Sketch for my local group

I should have lined the cat heads on the ribbon up but wasn't thinking 

The kitty is Rubber Stampede 

My Beaties Sailor

 

This big eyes sailor is walking on the beach surrounded with seashells and tiny turtles and actual real sand

 

The background is done in chalk with die cut clouds

 

She is colored with Prisma Pencils

I used only three color prisma pencils on her and

Several dies  both under n over her

 

                                           I used a product called Angelina Fiber
            I am not sure how to use it and it was a bit tricky but looks great in real life
                                                                 so magical

                              Also to add to the magic she has glitter in her hair
                            Enamel Accents on her tears and gems along the border

Three Techniques

I very special friend spent the morning with me and brought the "kit" to     do the watercolor shimmering mist technique on these flowers ,
then she revisited the out of the frame technique which I had forgotten

Then I received a card from my British pen pal and she had used the water color on stamp for her background which I used here  not much showing but I like it and will  do it again

HELLO my blogger friends

 

I made the above card for you

For those who have been asking what set me back I will explain here

 

Four years ago I broke my left leg That left me walking with a brace

Two years ago I spiral  broke my right leg

Both legs had rods

 

This year the left leg got infected and a scare went up if the infection is in the bone

 I could loose the leg

A very fast surgery was set up

 There is no infection in the bone but the rod was removed leaving holes where the screws were in the bone

Now we are being super cautious that the infection doesn't go to the holes and/or I break that weak bone

I am in the medical boot and see the doctor in two weeks ...

I am very grateful to be on my TWO  feet

GOD IS GOOD

I have received many lovely cards and appreciate all of them both handmade

 and store bought  but this one I made for myself

 

 

I am mending and have good spirit

I cut the white matt first and doodled around the edge making a frame

Then I out the base through a frame embossing folder and doodled around that before

adhering the image which is the MFP Set pirates

I colored with copics.

Chalk Background

My chalk stash is never far from me and when I saw the Chalk challenge at

 I pulled out my Art Impression kitty stamp set
Martha Stewart fence punch and Thank you die
The outdoor scene sky and grass is done in chalk
with an alligator clip for cotton balls
Add some flowers ( a gift from de)
and here we are a card I can enter in the Outlaz chalk challenge
Well I thought I could
A little different from other challenges so I am not sure I am entered
But ENJOY  anyway

An embossing folder is all you need to follow  the TT

I cut my folder embossed card stock and punched the edges

I raised the bottom piece with foam dots and added a punched butterfly

SFF268 Mask Strips

                                                    This challenge is very interesting
                                            I did the masked strips with blue tape that
                                     I  had dragged the sticky side over my jeans first
                                Put the tape in place and sponged the open space with
                                                              two ink colors
                                        The owl decided to perch on th flower pot
                                      These are from MFP stamp sets Pots and Vases
                                                    and Animal Birthdays

Plant Camp Day 4

                                           Kraft and White Ep is the challenge at SFF
                                     I used the MFP stamp set Mushroom Selection
                                      Simply stamped in white embossing powder
                                        on kraft paper and added the butterfly die

Plant Camp Day 4

 

PLANT CAMP DAY 4
I can't seem too upload photos ????Don't know why
But today was on the bus at 7:00 to go to Kissimmee
At 9:00 we got on an air boat for 21/2 hour tour stopping for sessions along the way if was fabulous
Then we went to the Extension for lunch and afternoon session ...
We played games to teach children about invasive plants and the rest of the afternoon was spent in groups making videos pertaining to the weeks learning
I hope I didn't loose the photos   #ufplantcamp

PLANT CAMP DAY 3

This day was all about aquatic plants and best management practices We were in teams and first identified  aquatic plants  Then switched to do hands on pond  ecology Explorations .We netted whatever came up ( insects0 and learned to use a key to identify them

Afternoon we did  an overview of the lake we will see tomorrow  The history of Herbicides and worked at the UF green houses

Plant Camp day 2

This am was not too too early We were fed a wonderful breakfast at the lodge and were bussed off to Paynes Prairie where we broke into tow groups to do a project ID invasive plants then switched for a hike through the invasive problem areas When we finished there we went to a preserve that has an invasion of Tuberous Sword firn after a presentation we again assumed teams to clear an area with a time limit Of course the green team won ((My team) Then we were taken to Kanapaha... Park for a lovely lunch and classroom presentations fabulous. I learned to ID the invasive over the closely matched natives , had no idea there were look a like out there Then we learned how to study and draw the plants It was a wonderful tiring day , and I only had to be pulled up one hill that this bad leg couldn't handle .
Dinner is on our own tonight I just want a shower and bed

Invasive Aquatic Plant Camp

I am taking a week course at #plantcamp
WOW I just started and my head is spinning with information I will use at Master Gardeners

                                                  I also added a tiny ship embellishment
