This is a beautiful soft vellum embellished card and none of it will show  on camera

SFF 288 ep Background

 

For THIS  challenge you are to make a background using clear embossing powder

I chose the Yin and Yang from the MFP set Tigers

I also embossed the tiger in black

Distress Ink BG

I have been seeing this technique on blogs
for a month so I am trying it
Here is my effort

 

 

I covered the cardstock with distress ink
then misted the stamp ( a flower and Minnie Mouse)
to stamp into the dried ink
I had a couple of tries before I got what I thought is correct
Then I cut the best of the card piece to use
Now I feel I could use more practice .

MAKE and TAKE

I saw an ad at the library for Creative Cards Had to go
It turned out to be make and take
Everything done for us to assemble
Pretty simple stuff but I met
18 new crafters at every level and had a good time

SFF Background 287

                                    This week on Speedy Fox and Friends
                                    Pat has put very easy directions to follow
                                        to make the backgound for your project

 

 

I follow the steps using Distress ink I got a sort of blotchy background and didn't like it but I did get to use a stencil I bought a week ago so it is now mine and can be put in its' storage place  

 So not liking the result so much I cut the background to  size and made the card using MFP Stamps Budda and Wealthy Fish

 

 

 

 

 

This is the stencil I used and in person it really does show

 

 

So not being thrilled with the above I tried again

I used Brilliance ink and it turned out lovely

 

 

So for the card I used MFP Budda and Birds of the Orient stamps

It was very hard to photograph because it is such light color

Went to a quilling class at the library this week

Pretty basic stuff but it was fun to get out the supplies and work with others

This is one of the flowers I made so I thought I would put it to use on this card

I have no idea  who's stamp this is it has been taken off the block and got to me at a yard sale

This is the card I quickly pulled off because in my hast( as usual ) I read what I wanted  ROUND ALL CORNERS )

looking at what it really says  round all edges  ,This does not work so I did another

SSF 282 Collage TT

 

 

Speedy fox and Friends has a TT this week

 Very easy to follow

It is a collage done with stamps

 

The stamps I used are MFP Cardinal and
Create with Pine Boughs

For the first step ( background I pounced with glimmering mist on a cotton ball

Let that dry and stamped the words then the cardinal

The holly boughs next I colored the berries with a copic marker and added the embellishment holly

Envelope Fold

          Went to a workshop yesterday and was shown this envelope fold

 

 

The demo was on 12 x 12 double sided paper but this one is a bit smaller 10 x 10

This is the one time I don't use handmade paper it is not double sided
I made this as a thank you for a friend who passed me a bag of lace bits last week
There is an inside card but I sealed the handmade envelope before I thought to photograph it

SFF 281 TRAIN TALK

This week we are challenged to make the background with a die cut negative

I used a pasley die sponged in with pearlescent beige

Waited for it to dry and stamped with MFP Train Talk

Somme punched leaves finished off the corners.

Okay you will have to bare with me on this one
The challenge is to use both silver and gold
My crafting and color skills are bag on it is the photography where I fail
The background is and all over gold glitter cardstock
I mounted that on silver
I stamped the MFP VIRTUOUS stamp in silver ink and out lined it with silver stickles
The owl is die cut on silver
This could not be more gold and silver
