MFP Ch 12 Mountain Fold

 

When I looked at this Tutorial I thought it was a simple A fold

It took me reading it three times to figure this one out

Not difficult just have to know how it is done

I colored the background with chalk

The image with copic The waves are enamel accent

 For the background I used
Ranger distress inks
spiced marmalade
frayed burlap
peeled paint

I used stamps from

Polk a Dot  Country
Coneflowers

This is a one layer challenge with the theme Bunnies

I used MFP stamp set Easter Scene

I stamped with my Misti both images

I outlined the egg with violet chalk

and colored the image with copic markers

I started with putting a small amount of Distress ink on acetate

misting and placing the card stock face down and twisting

Let this dry before mounting on matt

Fae Unicorn Challenge

I chose to work with Fae
To keep it clean and simple all I did was color her
 with prisma pencils  her wings with perfect pearls  and cut her out

When I went to post I read the whole which says no designer paper  grrrr
so here is my Clean and Simple with no designer paper 

                        Now IF there were no theme here is what I would do
                                   because I believe fairies must sparkle

                  I used a Spellbinder die and popped it in front of the image
                     I separated the wing so it could sit on the front of the frame
                                                with all it's gems and sparkle

SFF One Layer Theme Hearts

 

I know you need at least one Valentine card so come play with US

 

I used handmade paper for the card it has bits of red tissues because I have difficulty getting my pulp to dye red and I haven't found a natural dye to do red.

The stamps are from an MFP set called KEYS

I added the die cut ribbon of hearts and held my breath that is acceptable . Hope you enjoy it

Workshop

 

Went to a wonderful watercolor workshop 

Did several projects shown here

 

First above using the paint pods simply washed two cards one in red

 one in green

From the red we die cut poppies  and hearts and

from the green the stem

Then we did the "running or drip'' background to adhere the flower on
The hearts (which I can't move up from the bottom) are on a separate card.

 Next we used distress inks on an acetate and smooched the card stock
we practiced first then did it on a card that had already the heart sticker

Now on to markers  The image is embossed

we were shown to place the color to the center a drag it with a water brush

This part I had no problem with

Then she made us splatter over the finished pieced

I should not have done that step

It took three completed backgrounds before I got what I needed for this card
Now I have two for my stash I used stamps from MFP Birdcages and a   die

I also did the background for the sentiment
I enjoyed this technique

Well this lady from Inkadinkado is Happily walking her happy dog while shopping I feel she is happily wealthy in her wonderful neighborhood She is Happy Everything

SFF One Layer Theme Snow

 

 

 

 

 

                                          One layer is easy "snow" not so much




                                             The TT shows what is expected
                                            So I used MFP BIG Trees stamp set
                                           Leaving lots of open background I
                                          I colored only a small portion of the sky
                                         I used my Misti ( fast becoming a friend)
                                            Put the tree in inked the left with green
                                                           Stamped  and cleaned
                                      Inked the right with black and stamped again
                                                                 It is perfect
                                                  I then need the required snow
                                                                     Hummm
                                     I used Enamel Accent and it turned out great
