 I stamped the image  in Distress ink

I wrapped my block with quite heavy twine and used Distress ink to stamp

It turned out very nice I think

                                                     The stamp set is MFP  Tiger
                                                Stamped in distress in with the misti
                                                       First was a yellow then a brown
                                          I have been playing with making tags with
                                                       washi tape and here you see
                                                         a sliver off the edge of one
                                         

                                              You do need to add this technique to your list '

HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNICORN CHALLENGE

                                                  For  Unicorn 1st birthday  
                                               decided on an explosion card


I

There are 9 surfaces to decorate  and I did each with a birthday  pop up or sticker

Unfortunately with the print card stock I used it is not showing well

Please believe me it is pretty
This will have to be hand delivered or mailed in a box
I once mailed an explosion box out of the country and the customs tag said explosion box
Guess what customs opened it for inspection and then couldn't fold  it back   My friend received  it  in  a large government  package

LCC 117 Spots and/or Stripes

                   Let's craft and Create gives you a choice this month  Spots or Stripes
                                                                  I chose stripes
                                          The background paper is a wallpaper stripe
                                       I  then stamped colored and cut out the image
                           I die cut the center out of the top layer and adhered to the background
                                               Added the image and embellishments
                                   You can use any theme just use spots or stripes
                                                             Come  PLAY

CAS Birthday

Anyone who follows  me knows  CAS is difficult for me

I have to tell myself over and over it  means simple

STOP

Well I did this time and didn't have to do over

First step was to put the card stock through an embossing  folder

The BIRTHDAY  sentiment is from MFP  stamp set  Large  Blooms

and I used my Mini Misti

NOTE.. the little protector jacket my daughter makes

I used distress inks and marshmallow sponges to color the folder

I have no idea what these are called and I still have packaging ?? 

But  I will add I love and use them a lot

I bought two sets  ,,,,,,not necessary   as you can use both ends

and still have enough for all your colors

They do a nice job once you learn to dab off and use a light touch

CRC 23 Anything Goes

Here you go the easiest challenge found  This challenge is Anything goes
 I first smudged  black watercolor
I die cut the reeds and sponged with black
The Thank you is a die cut
The elephant (unknown) was stamped and fussy cut

Orange

The challenge  this week on MFP is the color ORANGE

Since it is not my favorite color to work with I decided to use very little

I tried the spotlight on the top of the card a few times it seems to be a learning curve

or you can't teach an old dog new tricks

So I settled for the spot behind the opening

I used stamps from MFP Coneflower

If the fold that is at the back is brought to the front it makes the closed card you see below

I used stickers on the tags above and Stamp set Chrysanthemum for the front

This is all the double sided tape I have in my stock so came up with this design for the Stamp set  Bird Cages 

Snowy Hugs

Do images  come any cuter than Snowy Hugs ?

I colored with copic and fussy cut

The fur is done with enamel accent

Layered mat backed pieces 

 added the mesh stars at the bottom and poinsettia at the top

Turned out just fine

LCC 116 Wedding

 

 

Need a wedding card  The challenge at Let's Craft and Create  is WEDDING  this month

I used a wedding folder and covered that with handmade paper cut out with a spellbinder die
added ribbon with pearls and flowers

When you use a beautiful gown like this from Sparkle n Sprinkle  well you just have to emboss it with gold  embossing powder
Then surround it with gold foil paper
I use to wear gowns like this when we were military but now there is no occasion to have the

At a get together we did  this technique with coffee filters and alcohol ink

It was messy and fun and very pretty in the end

Depending on how old you are you may not need a TT

I used three distress inks  yellow, pink and green

I folded down the corner with a brad and added the flower sticker

I cut the shoes on the cricut

I used a corner  and sentiment die

I am going on a neighborhood picnic and we are doing BBQ

For the card I used the MFP stamp set  Tailgate Party

After stamping and coloring I die cut the burner and adhered it to the card front
