                                 I have seen this die several times and finally tracked it down  it is
                                                             Weeping Willow
                                                                       I love it

                                     Paired with the stamp from MFP Roses  cut out and popped
                                      Now the challenge is WHITE  but the roses just didn't show
                                                  until I colored with just a hint  of pink
                                                      
                                                     I know you can do color white

CRC 18 Wedding

 

For this card I was determined to use only my stash box
The negative die is mounted on violet card stock
The image was  part of an image swap ( those use to be fun swaps )
The LOVE brad and flower have been in my box forever
You don't have to use stash just follow the WEDDING  theme

Color Burst

 

Yes  Yes  I know you are all going to say what is she talking about I have been using this for years

Well for the few of you like me who have never used  heard or seen Color Burst

here is the scoop

I received this small bottle of Color Burst in a Blog Candy  yesterday

I read the directions on the bottle  ( which by the way is called Sepia )

I am to wet a porous ( water color ) Paper and puff the powder on to it

Above is my very first attempt

When the powder hit the moist paper it bleed out showing several colors

I feel I was a smidge heavy on the poof it might be a learning curve

but I am ready and willing to learn

Now I am off to research what other colors are available

What a fun tutorial

I am thanking a friend who went shoe shopping with me

I had been in a brace for four year and finally have matching feet

Shopping was so much fun

No heels any more but no reason to wear them here in Florida

Can not do flip flops but strappy sandels are beautiful .

If I find a minute ( really it took longer than a minute)
I might try a different color

This took me on a time trip back to the 70

Once finished the card I realized I didn't use a stamp just dies

All the dies are cut from the one paper

and mounted on handmade paper

I think it turned out just fine

Since we are encouraged to not stamp  

 I die cut the back ground over white card stock

Covered the corner with lace added the flowers and the symbol

 

 

 

 

For this card I cheated just a tiny bit

The tulips are Penny  Black with matching die

Colored with copic 

Mounted on an alcohol ink piece from my stash

I first outlined some spots with chalk sort of like coffee stains

I then stamped the lion (unknown)  in distress ink  in the largest spot

The bubble die seemed to be the best embellishment

CELEBRATE 100 YEARS with PAPER

A few months back on a Papermakers Group we got a request from this teacher for donated handmade  paper for their project  

 

Here is the follow letter from that teacher

She sent many photos of the happy children involved in the project

 

 

 

Hello all you generous donors of gorgeous paper - 28 of you!!!!

It has been a full month since I finished my artist residency at Continental School.  We had SO much fantastic response to my call for papers, it was absolutely wonderful!  Thank you so very much for helping us celebrate 100 years - 1916 - 2016!!!

I send you thanks with this photo montage. We had a total blast!!   

Every second grader (90 ct.) bound a blank book with every interior sheet being handmade paper…the teachers were going to have them transfer their stories/illustrations inside.

Every sixth grader (80 ct.) wrote short stories, then chose paper/binding/collage/illustration to support the content of their narrative.  Super!!

All the third and fifth grades (160ct.) worked with the paper too…the final result was a beautiful, permanent mural to commemorate 100 years’ anniversary.

Leftover papers, supplies, equipment were distributed to the very happy faculty, especially the teacher who holds a meeting of the “Art Club”.

I can’t tell you how grateful and touched I am at your outpouring of generous donations!  Every single bit was used.  No joke!

MFP 14 CAS with RAIN

 

 

 

This is hard for me because it requires much white which just washes out on the screen

The challenge is CAS  with a theme of Rain

I first washed a little watercolor across the cardstock then stamped the flower from MFP Stamp set Small Flowers  I colored that with copic

I cut clouds and rain drops from a die and colored the drops the palest blue

I hope you can see all that

CRC 12 Mystical

Mystical ????? Not my usual choice
I used the  Custers  Last Stamp in Brilliance copper so it does shine
The background is Dylusions  sprayed over the card stock and cut to size
The sentiment is SU and the butterflies Martha Stewart
