                                 A little on line local challenge 

                         I did the background with blender brushes and Brillance ink 

                                                  It is shiny 

                                Then I heat embossed the leaves and acorns 

                                               Added the charm and die cut 

                                                      ENJOY

                                                               

BABY WIPE INK PAD

 

                                                                              

                       Had a little session with friends 

                       We made our own ink pads with  baby wipes and dye re inkers 

                       Made lovely backgrounds 

CRACKED ICE

                                              Had a little get together with two friends 

                                              We did Cracked Ice and this is the result

SPEEDY RECOVERY

                                          I just mailed this card to a friend who is having knee replacement

HANDMADE PAPERS

                           I AM MAKING COLORS FROM NATURE TO DYE THE COTTON FOR THE                                                                                             PAPER 

                            This is the easy one,no dye just made from sewing pattern tissue not cotton

                                                                       

    Above  is a deep strong peach the photo above is more true to the color Color made from a combination of reds and yellows 

                   Sage  made from foilage is a much darker color that the photo

                           Lilac   turned out beautiful  made from blue purple flowers and beauty berries

                      Pink is stronger in person and it is lovely 

                      Yellow  is the easiest right now since I have many yellow flowers in the yard

IRIS FOLD

                     I was challenged to use a technique not used for some time 

                                  the challenge is leaf 

                                        AND THE RESULT

Off set background

             These backgrounds are done with a stencil and are off set like the Jennifer MaGuire vidoe 

                                                       It doen't show well in photo 

                                            The image is a gift die set stamp soooo cute

                                    Beautiful fairy die 

                                       Simple card 

                                    Just add gems and away she flies

These layered die cards are done with the same card stock  One is light to start working to dark on top 

The lover is the reverse   Which do you like best

                                                   doesn't have a stamp set match and is meant to be used
                                                                            exactly as I  did it

Build a Die

                                                         This is an Altenew die set

                                         I don't have the matching stamp
                                        So instead of coloring I cut from five
                                         different shades of card stock
                                         Then layered
                                        I think it worked well and will be trying others


                                                             

PANDA

                                   A new background die
                               Perfect for this Panda stamp

                                                 

Sister B day

                                    Her b day is not until August but she never comes here so I can post now

                                                                     

The butterflies are from one die with multi sized butterflies 

Two other dies used to create the inside 

The card is made on my handmade paper

Papermaking

                                   I got an order for yellow paper

                                                                           

                             The dye is made from yellow flowers
                             I made her sample strengths to choose from

                        After the cotton is cooked to break it down it is blended in the colored water
                     

                                      The pulp is made from the cotton plant and dyed


                                                                         

It is strained and blended back several times in the same water 

It is then put in the vat and this dilutes the color a little 

So it is a bit like a science lab

Then the sheets are pulled on to felts and stacked 

Each sheet is sprinkled with crystal sand and glitter 

It is then put in the hydraulic press over night 

It is then hung on hangers to dry

I didn't get a photo of the yellow drying but her second order is green with sage and I did get that photo

Once dry   it goes through the Gemini

Then it is cut to size

Goes throught the Gemini two more times
