Dark or Light

These layered die cards are done with the same card stock  One is light to start working to dark on top 

The lover is the reverse   Which do you like best

                                                   doesn't have a stamp set match and is meant to be used
                                                                            exactly as I  did it                                                                                   
                                                                              YEAH  ME !

Build a Die

                                                         This is an Altenew die set

                                         I don't have the matching stamp
                                        So instead of coloring I cut from five
                                         different shades of card stock
                                         Then layered
                                        I think it worked well and will be trying others


                                                             

PANDA

                                   A new background die
                               Perfect for this Panda stamp

                                                 

Sister B day

                                    Her b day is not until August but she never comes here so I can post now

                                                                     

The butterflies are from one die with multi sized butterflies 

Two other dies used to create the inside 

The card is made on my handmade paper

Papermaking

                                   I got an order for yellow paper

                                                                           

                             The dye is made from yellow flowers
                             I made her sample strengths to choose from

                        After the cotton is cooked to break it down it is blended in the colored water
                     

                                      The pulp is made from the cotton plant and dyed


                                                                         

It is strained and blended back several times in the same water 

It is then put in the vat and this dilutes the color a little 

So it is a bit like a science lab

Then the sheets are pulled on to felts and stacked 

Each sheet is sprinkled with crystal sand and glitter 

It is then put in the hydraulic press over night 

It is then hung on hangers to dry

I didn't get a photo of the yellow drying but her second order is green with sage and I did get that photo

Once dry   it goes through the Gemini

Then it is cut to size

Goes throught the Gemini two more times

ICE CHEST STORAGE

                                             
                                              Have several ice chests laying around
                                                    Decided to put them to use

                                                I used Tacky Glue and left over faabrics

                                 
                                                 I did 3  Don't think I need more
                                                                               

MOTHERS DAY

                                                    The dog that we are pet sitting is making a Mothers Day card for his                                                                                                       MOM

                                                                 He wasn't to keen on putting his paw on the ink pad
                                                                            But he liked giving her the card

                                                 On Prisma Pencils on black card stock
                                                                    I did these


                                                                     

Not at all happuy with them even after several attempts 

While the black card stock is out I decided to get out my Perfect Pearls 

Had to watch video it has been that long 

Here is the result

                                                  Trying my hand at sewing  masks
                                                  They are not perfect  sewing is not my best thing
                                                   They are better than nothing



                                                  I made 8  and have two left
                                                  So i am thinking they are not right
                                                    People who have one are saying they are comfortable 
                                                   Maybe they are being kind

                                                     

                                                         They are lined with interfacing

                                                      I was tempted to try each one on
                                                     but decided that would not be a good idea
                                                     A friend who needed one tried hers for me
                                                           and it seems to work just fine

PULP FLOWERS

                                                         I was gifted this rubber mould last week
                                                         So I made cotton pulp and began this process

                                                                                     

Sprayed the mould with release and filled with pulp

Took two days to dry in the Florida sun 

I just jiggled the mould and everything released  easily 

I trimmed edges 

Easily colored with markers or water colors 

Not sure how or if I will use them 

                            but I have refilled the mould for more                                

More Quilling

Spare Time

                                             While confined in house
                                           I am practicing QUILLING
                                         I started out pretty simple

This is pretty basic so I up my game a bit 

Watched videos and did this 

This leaf was a bit of a challenge 

The whole reason for my quilling right now is I was gifted this board

It took me two days watching re watching videos 

Then it took   me a whole day to make the one flower 

I know the next one if there is a next one will be faster 

It is not hard just piddly and time consuming
